S-Medium
From Wikionchus
S-Medium is the typical buffer for liquid cultures of worms.
For 1 L S-Medium, do the following:
- Prepare lL S-Basal
- NaCl : 5.85gm
- K2HPO4 : 1gm
- KH2PO4 : 6gm
- Chloleterol stock (5mg/ml in ethanol) : 1ml
- dd-H20 : 1L
- Autoclave S-Basal
- Add the following to 1L of S-Basal :
- 1M Pottasium Citrate, pH 6 : 10ml
- Trace metals solution : K2HPO4 : 10ml
- 1M CaCl2 : 3ml
- 1M MgSO4 : 3ml
